Allana was a player for Australia in Rugby Sevens in 2013, and then a string of knee injuries left Allana on the sidelines for some time before she made the transition back to league. Allana was the first to play in a women's rugby union game that was played in New South Wales as was the star of the match that was played against Queensland. Allana also has radio in her resume, making frequent appearances on 2GB's top-rated Continuous Call Team. Allana holds a professional teaching qualification outside of sports. Allana Ferguson holds the rare honor of representing Australia in three sports, rugby sevens, rugby league and touch.
